John of God – Spiritual Healer in Brazil

Background

At a spiritual healing centre called the Casa de Dom Inácio (the house of St Ignatius Loyola) in Abadiania, Brazil the gifted medium João Teixeira da Faria, known as "João de Deus" (John of God), performs seemingly miraculous healings that have earned him a world-wide reputation. Thousands of people from around the world, all seeking a cure, have visited the site, which is built above an underground crystal bed. There, up to 3,000 people in a day are seen in groups, wishing to be healed of cancer, AIDS, paraplegia, blindness and many other serious conditions and apparently “incurable” illnesses.

João sits in-entity, taken over by one of over 30 entities who were physicians, theologians, therapists and other notable figures in their lifetimes, to scan people, determine what they need and use a variety of healing methods to assist their healing. A room full of discarded crutches and wheelchairs testifies to his success.

First Contact with John of God

Sanctuary founder, Tony Clarkson, discovered João and the Casa as part of his quest to find a healing solution for his Godson, Michael Morrison. Michael, who lives in Ireland, has suffered from cystic fibrosis all his life and in his early twenties became very ill and was admitted to hospital in Dublin. His lungs constantly filled with fluid which needed to be drained and he was very weak. Michael spent three weeks being monitored in a hospital room where he saw his consultant for a total of 5 minutes in that time. Tony saw him wasting away with no solution in sight and decided to take him to John of God in Brazil. They had to take along two suitcases full of nebulisers, special drinks that Michael needed to take daily, and other medication. Tony carried Michael into John of God’s assembly room where Michael was treated. Upon his return from Brazil Michael slept for most of the next 3 months at home. To his delight, a lung function test performed one week after his return showed that it had doubled, and it increased each week from there on. Michael’s health continued to improve and he returns to Brazil every year for a ‘top-up’. He has not needed to see a doctor for the four years that he has been going. The treatment from John of God has changed his life personally and professionally in many areas.

For Michael even the common cold can be potentially lethal, causing his lungs to fill with fluid. However, since his trips to Brazil and daily use of his own Viofor electromagnetic bed, he has coped with colds and recovered without the antibiotics that he formerly needed to use – something unheard of in cases of cystic fibrosis.

Energy Healer in Ireland

Today, Michael is an energy healer himself at the Tuan Health Sanctuary in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland, helping others towards better health using natural energy medicine treatments.

Michael says: “All of us have a template for perfect health – we are all lattice works of incredible energies. People in Ireland with cystic fibrosis have heard of me and phoned up to find out about my rise to good health. They want to know how they too can attain good health and I tell them ‘Don’t put me on a pedestal – go inside and listen to yourself’. The important thing is that I have taken control of my own health and that is what I encourage others to do now.”

John of God and the Casa de Dom Inácio have been one of the sources of inspiration for the Sanctuary of Healing and strong links are maintained between the two places. The Crystal Healing Bed used in our chakra balancing treatments was sourced from the Casa.
